Cisco SOHO 97
I cannot find any online reviews about the Cisco SOHO 97. I did find a review about the Cisco 827 router, however. The 827 seems to a full-fledged Cisco router for intermediate and advanced network administrators, whereas the SOHO 97 is designed for novice and intermediate network admins. The 827 is about $130 more than the SOHO 97. There is an 827H as well, but I cannot determine what additional features it adds over the 827, other than Cisco Router Web Setup, which is the novice interface for the SOHO 97. Based upon Cisco’s description of the Cisco 800 series and SOHO series, it seems that the 827 does not include any capacity for VPN encryption, but the 837 has hardware support for it and the SOHO 97 has software support for it. I will go ahead with the SOHO 97 and post a review of it myself.
